Malibu C.A.R.T. had previously partnered with UCLA’s Mobile Eye Clinic for several years to provide twice yearly services. Unfortunately that grant has expired. We are investigating other sources for this valuable service. We welcome a partnership to be able to provide this again. If you have resources or are aware of a program that may allow us to offer assistance, please to reach out — we’d love your help or the opportunity to collaborate with another group!

Connect Day
Connect Day
COMING UP!
THURS, Oct 7th @10am
Collaborating with local State, Federal, County and City agencies as well as non-profit groups and service-providers, Connect Day provides information, applications and assistance in navigating these services – all in one place, in one day, for those experiencing homelessness. The support of such organizations as County Supervisor Sheila Kuehl, City of Malibu, Department of Public Social Services, L.A. Homeless Services Authority, Veteran’s Association, Department of Mental Health, and many others help make this complicated process much more manageable. Connect Day is a one-stop-shop for those who are otherwise subject to multiple trips and phone calls coupled with limited access to the supplies and information needed to successfully receive these resources. In addition to social services, health and dental screenings guests are also offered showers, haircuts, and basic humane supplies including socks, underwear, clean clothes and toothbrushes. Connect Days are scheduled approximately twice annually.
Please reach out to us if you are aware of additional services we can offer that may be helpful, or if you can volunteer to offer a service on Connect Day.
Meals
Meals
Malibu C.A.R.T. supports ongoing dinner and lunch programs through both donations and volunteer power. Meals are critical in recognizing the importance of humanitarian efforts. Through meals, we establish conversation, trust and the critically needed communication needed to properly understand the needs of each individual in order to help him/her take a step forward towards a better life for him/her. If you’re interested in assisting with providing for or serving a meal, please let us know. Likewise, for details, including location and times, please contact us.
Vaccinations
Vaccinations
Based on seasonal needs and trending epidemics, we partner with local non-profit groups, such as Venice Family Clinic and the Health Department, to administer vaccinations to help reduce the spread of illnesses. We announce upcoming clinics on our Home Page.
